The well-known from hearsay that was in AD 1767 when before 3 months lost Ayutthaya to Myanmar Phaya Tak (Sin) while still a prince Kamphaeng Phet Deem "If the Ayutthaya is also weak against Burma like this Next must lost City to surely Myanmar." He so gather adherents to the new primary. On the way to fight the Burmese military and have to stay overnight at Tung Kai Tia, Na Jomtien, Sattahip, by stopping and camping each night. Later the villagers called this district "Thap Phraya". And switching to a new "Pattya" because it occupies such a good central location Phraya Tak's army set. And the sea breezethat is a "wind Pattya" wind from southwest to northeast in the early rainy season. So call this place the "village Pattya". Later until today the PATTYA is rewritten as PATTAYAuntil now.

Another important event is known throughout the Pattaya. Occurred on 29 June AD 1959. When a large American military truck about 4-5 units carry full approximate 100 people per unit from Nakhon Ratchasima. The American military bases there. Heading come to Pattaya. To rent a resort home the south of the beach. Behavior of American soldiers like this. Becomes a starting point to visit Pattaya City just now.
